I've got a rear lens cap. I don't know what it is, but I do know what it isn't. I'm hoping you can help me figure it out.

It is for a lens with a three-prong bayonet mount -- not a breech mount or screw mount.

So that rules out Canon, L39, and M42, etc.

I use Minolta -- SR and Maxxum -- so I can rule those out.

The INNER diameter of the Minolta SR rear lens cap is about 46mm. That of the Maxxum about 50mm.

The inner diameter of this lens cap is about 48mm. Otherwise it looks exactly like a Minolta SR cap.

But that leaves a lot -- Pentax K, Konica, ..........

Can anyone help?

There are no markings on the cap.

I have two Nikon F lens caps, their inner diameter is 47.5 mm.
I also have three Olympus OM caps (one genuine and two off-brand) with 48 mm inner diameter.
And two Pentax K caps, one 48 mm, other one 48.5 mm.

Thanks for the help. I might be able to figure it out now -- by looking at some EBAY auctions for lens caps.

I have no use for it, but don't want to throw it out.

Put it under your pillow and the tooth fairy will whisper in your ear which cameras it fits.
