These attachment points seem to be present only on Horseman 970 and 980 cameras as far as I've been able to tell.

They appear to be proprietary rails.

I can't find any accessory listed anywhere that fits them. Does anyone know about them?

Yes, the cable release is designed for thumb actuation.

I jerked the camera too much with my thumb so I use the electronic solenoid release.

There is one for sale now on a popular online auction site.
My Horseman 985 does not have these rails.

I'm considering adapting it for some other purpose with a 3d print, but not really sure what yet.

I have one of the cables for my VH-R. Its not as smooth as I'd like, but worse, short of mounting the lens sideways (which is problematic for other reasons) the cable is always in the way of the rangefinder.
