I am trying to install two new QTR profiles from text files I just created but completed install command is telling me "Invalid ink name lk\ used in gray_ink_2" for both profiles.

I checked to see if there was a typo in the text file and it seems fine. I am pulling out my hair here trying to figure this out.

this is what I have in the text file:

N_OF_GRAY_PARTS=3
GRAY_INK_1=K
GRAY_VAL_1=100
GRAY_INK_2=LK
GRAY_VAL_2=32
GRAY_INK_3=LLK
GRAY_VAL_3=12

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance

Hello Mr. Boutwell,

Is this all you have in your TXT file? If so you do need to add a printer name.

Like:
# Notes The Printer name determines where the QDIF file is saved - what QTR Printer folder

PRINTER=QUAD3800

and

# Notes This is the curve name displayed in QTRgui
CURVE_NAME=DB3800CostcoAg

and the maximum number of inks used
# Notes N_OF_INKS=? the maximum number of inks used
N_OF_INKS=6

Not sure if this helps,

Don Bryant

I apologize, I do have everything else in the text file (printer name, number of inks, etc.) but to save space I only inserted the part that was giving me the problem.

I just this second got them to load by copying an existing file and manually typing in the information rather than copying and pasting. I have no idea what the problem actually was, but at least now I can print a negative.
