My Nikon F5 just die..

I dont know what happen even i change new battery last time i use it i put cable release... and then after couple shots it just die..

anyone experienced like this maybe can help me....

My car won't start, I put a new battery in it and last time I used cruise control....after I got home from work it just die..

How do you mean "die"?

If there's no sign of life at all then my first check would be fresh batteries. If it got knocked back on when you put it away last time it could easily have drained the last set, leaving just enough power for a couple of shots before the voltage drops and the camera shuts down.

In Canada, I have read good reviews about Winball Camera (Toronto) -they are Nikon specialists. I have never used them- just passing along info incase you need to start looking for repair. Good luck.

it just shut the power off when i turn it on, no power at all even i put new battery...

Just a suggestion but try running an eraser over the contact of the battery. It may be they are just slightly dirty and not making good contact. I'm not sure you can get at the contacts on/in the camera itself but if you can do it to them as well.

Good luck, I'd be really bummed if mine bit the dust.

Thank you for you advice,When you said not making good contact,i used my tester and i check the voltage of all battery, and they are all good but when i put them all together on the holder it give me very low voltage. i got an idea to clean the whole battery holder since the contact inside looks clean... so i put a baking soda on the small container with water since i don't have contact cleaner right now,and i sunk the whole battery holder on it for few minutes and i dried it, and put the battery again and i check the voltage and gave me a reading what is supposed to be... when i put on my camera it works...

that save me so much time and money sending it to the technician...

For future reference, white vinegar is the absolute jam for cleaning corrosion off of battery contacts. Dissolves it just like chalk.

The residue is alkaline and the vinegar will neutralize it. You can see it working because it will bubble. When it stops bubbling, you're done -- rinse with water.

Glad you got your camera working again. The first two things to look for when you have an electrical problem are contacts and connectors!

Thank you, thats the trick i learned from a friend (who is a mechanics) to clean the contact of my car batterry when he saw mine full of acid residue(dont know what the right term but it green like powder around the contact) he said it will cause a problem someday if i dont remove it...the baking soda desolve them really quick...
