Hi All,

I just thought I would mention that an exhibit of my work opens tomorrow at a beautiful gallery here in Winnipeg. We just finished hanging the show this afternoon. I am very pleased with how it has all come together.

I am exhibiting images from a body of work I have producing over the last 10 years. My photos are presented along with paintings by my sister. She is an artist based in Toronto. Her medium of choice is acrylic and charcoal on canvas. My images are Platinum/Palladium and some...uh... not-so apug-type prints ( sorry, they are prints from scanned negatives. They are very large up to 30x40 so I could not do them in my darkroom. They are however, "straight" prints. No digi-tricks involved in their production other than the large Chromira printer).

Cameras used were: Mamiya 6, 7, + RB67 and a Deardorff 8x10. Interestingly I used the Deardorff to do some macro type shots of flowers by using every inch of bellows extension and fitting the 300mm ektar lens with a Canon close-up filter designed to be used with their large telephoto lenses. Films used were HP5 + FP4 developed in PMK or Pyrocat HD or Rodinal. I also did a few shots on Kodak CN400 120 (chromogenic B+W).

Here is a link to a sneak preview of some of the work in the show:

And here is a link to the official invitation to the opening

I will be posting more images in the next few days as well as some photos from the opening so visit again in a couple of days to see how everything turned out.

Cheers!

Just had a quick look - very effective use of high-key tonality, liked the pix a lot. Hope your show goes well!
