I think I'll have to introduce myself here since I find this forum quit excellent and it is nice to know who are you here dealing with. Under the nickname "pmu" hides Petri Uutela, 28, from Northern Finland. I have photographed little over 2 years, started with digital AF-equipment and after about 6 months of shooting moved to my fathers old Olympus OM system. Shooted mainly landscapes (usual sunsets etc.). The last year or so I have been shooting only B&W and I'm planning to do so in future. Haven't shooted landscapes either. I struggled over an year with my negative scanner and finally got ridd of it and bought an enlarger couple of months ago -- there is no way I'm going back scanning negatives! (in my gallery -- link in my signature -- scans from my traditional prints have white borders). I have focused on street/documentary style and have found out that "planning" or "making" pictures is not for me -- I really don't know how to do that. I just carry my camera with me and constantly look something interesting to shoot. I try to avoid too normal approach in my shootings -- for example in compositions, framing etc. Usually the result is crap, but not always - I hope I like the work of these well known names; Nachtwey, Salgado, HC-B, Stoddart etc. And yes, I still shoot with my OM-1 + 50mm and bought Leica M2 + 35/2 last summer. Latest purchase is Industar 61 55mm lens -- 11,50 USD
Welcome Petri from Hawaii. It is so good to hear one more person returning to film. I hope you enjoy this forum, it has the friendliest people on the Internet.
I saw your B&W images on your link. Really cool stuff! I especially like how simple and spare your compositions are. You've got some enigmatic photographs.
Enjoyed seeing your images.

Thanks to all of you for welcoming me to the forum! I hope I will someday be somehow useful to the site... At the moment my brain is mostly full of questions and only very few answers (and usually the answer is "I really don't know")
Well, if you read my introduction, I did the same thing:
I went from computer animation and multimedia to clay and metal sculpture and drawing, to ancient chinese and japanese art and finally to film photography.
