I have been developing 120 in the Jobo press kits. After reading P.E.'s commment about the long term stability of negs processed in Blix, I decided to gather together all the chemistry to give this dev, bleach, fix, stab mess a try. First thought--holy crap did I buy a lot of chemistry. Second thought--process is simple (Jobo) and the initial test roll looks good. Shipping from the big suppliers was spendy due to the haz mat charge, so I found a local minilab supplier that can order and kodak product under the sun (no shipping charge as I pick it up). If you live in Minnesota check out Pakor in Maple Grove. The driving force here was the cost of 120 and 4x5 develoment--I can't wait to see my first 4x5 sheets come out of this process. Pics will post as soon as the negatives are dry. Thanks to all the APUG'ers for being such a wonderful resource when trying something new!

When you take out your 4x5s, you will be impressed. It is a real thrill to take out a batch and see what you have done.

Congratulations.

Your lucky. Pakor purchase a Milwaukee distributor then move them to Minnesota. Amzingly, I cannot find a similar sourse in the Chicago or surrounding area. Use to be major cities had everything. Oh well.

Mind to share the exact Kodak chemical you have ordered and the exact steps / volume you used.

I got quite a bit confuse but the local Kodak distributor want nothing but exact code (US or Europe one). I got E6 5L from them (via shipping by boat from Singapore) ok (with a wait of 3 months) as I have the exact code. But for C-41, still as confuse as hell.

Thanks for any assistance.

Here is the list of chemistry using Kodak Catalog #'s

Developer Cat. 191 8895 (enough for 3.5 gallons, or 27 120 rolls)
Bleach Cat. 133 2634 (no mixing required and 10 liters worth--enough for 80 rolls of 120)
Fix Cat. 169 3837 (enough for 76 liters and 304 rolls!!)
Rinse Cat. 853 8067 (makes 12.5 gallons)

Overall cost was $US
Dev .75/roll
Bleach 1.50/roll
Fix .03/roll

So a roll of 120 costs me about 2.50-3.00 per roll. Add in the fun cool factor of doing it myself and its worth it to me!

Hope this helps. Finished my first 8 roll batch in the Jobo this evening. Mostly Kodak but a roll or two of Fuji NPH thrown in as well. 4x5 comes next with some expired stuff I have laying around.
