And, one of the things I truly treasure with contact printing is that the negatives just seem to print themselves! No extensive dodging/burning required, no special brew developers necessary to get just the right amount of contrast, minimal equipment needed, etc. Who could ask for more?
Here is MY 'First Contact Print' done at East Ham Grammar School Photographic Society meeting in the Chemistry lab. It was a 120 rollfilm neg I borrowed as I am IN the photo aged about 16, foreground, holding paddle in white vest. It was Kodak 'Velox' processed in a home-made developer made up by the Chemistry Master.
