Just received my C-41 developer. Mixed it up and used it with my Trebla developer starter, bleach and fixer. Below are two of the negative scans with Epson V750. This is an old Vericolor III film in the camera I bought.

I think the negatives are fine. How do you think?

I'd say they are as good as one can expect, all variables considered. Nothing that can't be fixed in post.

I see some small white speckles. Not sure if they come from the chemicals. Or the film is too old. I used Jobo 2502 reel.

Light leak? How old is your tank? I have an old Jobo that gives me similar artifacts. It has been retired. Never traced down the actual cause but a group on PN where I participated at the time narrowed it down to a pinhole light leak.

No light leak. I used the 2502 reel inside the 2521/3 tank. I've used this setup to process several rolls of BW film.

BTW, what is a "pinhole" light leak? Just curious.

This is an old Vericolor III film. It was loaded in a film back which I purchased. Then I rewound the film back to the spool and taped it. I used this old film just to test the chemicals.

I'm not sure if this is because of the old film, or from air bubble or anything else. The chemicals I used were all clear, no solid residues.

Regular tap water. No problem with several rolls of BW film. Soaked in stabilizer (off processor) for 2 minutes.

Hmm. Although I may be wrong, just to err on the safer side, maybe try distilled next time as a control. In my experience C-41 is much less forgiving than B&W in terms of mineral content in the h20. Reason is I had similar spots on some of my color negs until I switched distilled.
