My Experience Pushing Provia 100F two stops

I needed Provia 400X but didn't have any. All I had was Provia 100F. My son's birthday party was in two days, so no time to order from B&H and pay reasonable shipping costs. So I did the next best thing. I shot Provia 100F at ISO 320 and had the lab push two stops. Read about it here. Note that the blog post is written for someone who may not be familiar with some of the terminology we use, such as pushing and pulling film. I tried to make it an easy read.

• There's not much info here about pushing Provia 100F two stops. Lots of info about 400X two stops, but not 100F.

I only shoot Veliva pushed to 400. I mean...I USED to -it's been about 4 years since I shot a roll of colour.

Slide film generally pushes quite well. The only caveat, which you took care of with your instructions to push two stops while shooting at 320, is that the recommended push times never quite seem enough for the push specified. When I did my own E6 I would typically give at least a half stop more push in the first developer than I actually exposed for, and it generally worked very nicely.

Well, I clicked from the first link above and there was a video on your blog. It was an ad for a coffee company. I don't see the video anymore. Perhaps it was embedded by your hosting service?

Probably. It's a free blog - hosted by wordpress.com. And coffee's photography related, at least for some people. They either can't do photography without it, or they develop their film with it.
