I've been making platinum prints for five or six years now, and I'm very pleased to announce that I've finally managed to write everything down and publish a book on platinum printing for beginners.

I've called my book The Platinum Printing Workshop. It's aimed at novice platinum printers who want to learn how to make prints without having to master a wealth of deep technical skills.

As you'd expect I cover the basics including chemistry, paper selection, negatives, paper coating, UV exposure, developing and finishing. I've also covered some more advanced skills such as double coating and building your UV lightbox. For those who are interested in such things, I also touch on buying, selling and caring for platinum prints.

The Platinum Printing Workshop has 68 pages and is available in both printed and PDF formats.

Please see http://www.ianleake.com/book for more information.

Nice job Ian and good luck with the sale of your book. I am sure that your excellent prints in the book will convince many to start making Platinum Palladium prints.

The book seems nice and well done, judging from the excerpt you have on your homepage. Good luck with the sales!

Took a workshop with Tillman Crane last year in which I concentrated on the NA2 process. Am now interested in all the pt/pd methods. So, looking forward to seeing your book.
