"TMNT Mural" - I like how Raphael gives the lady "the look" as she walks away. After I clicked the picture she turned around and looked my way then gave me "the dirty look", lol.

Bob, plus one on photographing walls. Some thirty years ago I happened upon graffiti that caught my eye. I went back and photographed it. While going about my daily routines I saw a similar character painted on boarded up windows. For one year I drove the length of most of our major streets photographing walls and business windows. In some neighbourhoods I wouldn’t get out of the car or even stop the engine for safety reasons. Ultimately I actually tracked down the original graffiti painter through the gangs division of the police department. It got to where he would call me as to the location of his latest painting. I ended up with twenty five of his and at least one hundred others. Somehow he and I had a joint gallery exhibit and he painted a personal picture for me on a plywood board.
Keep checking those walls. Now businesses here commission street art

Trails are one of my most photographed subjects. I look for spots where the pathway gently bends out of sight, creating a visual curiosity to wonder where it leads. Here are several attempts at such images as seen earlier this week at Palmetto State Park in Gonzales, Texas. (Canon Demi EE17 half frame/ Kentmere 100/ Legacy Pro LC-110 dilution B)

I found myself a scanner, so I'm in the process of scanning my recent (two years at least) negatives. This one is fresh out of the scan and got me thinking it would fit the "as seen" theme...

NEW: "As seen" whilst walking along a river bank with my wife on a very cold Sunday afternoon earlier this month.

Fuji GW690II, TXT, EI 320, Pyrocat-HDC 1.5:1:250, EMA for 28min. Scan of silver print.

New. Today. Hassleblad 500C Tmax 100 70mm cut down to 120. This is a phone photo of a darkroom print, still wet, kinda pink from the safelight.

There is a cemetery near me that is populated with many such statues. They're all quite new but have been becoming fairly nicely discoloured rather quickly. I brought the camera out this morning with 4 exposures on a roll to see if there was something wrong with the focus. I developed a roll a few days ago that had some shots strangely out of focus, but I guess it was my doing, since the camera is fine.

A Dunny In The Park

New, exposed this sheet of film last Saturday

I thought I would revisit this park to once again take a picture of this award winning ablution block; I kid you not, it won an award. This is the second ablution block that has won an award in Victoria that I know of. The other is halfway up the Mt Baw Baw summit road, and yes, I've visited both. I wonder if there is something in the water in Victoria?

I cycle past this park often.

Jeffreyg, with regard to your fifth image in your opening post, I'm guessing it may have something to do with the fact that everyone is wearing running shoes.

At least it looks like that, but as the image is quite small, my ageing eyes may have been fooled.

Mike. That’s not it. I’ll hold off until the end just in case someone else wants to comment. Actually a good observation but I never noticed what you saw. That’s what is interesting about “looking and seeing “.

My new-catagory submission for this month:

First time shooting FPP Mummy 200/Astrum Foto-200. (EDIT! It's FPP Wolfman 120, AKA Astrum Foto-100.) Went for a walk down on the square and found this nice cruiser, with an ice cream shop in the background.

I selected "AS SEEN" for the Jan. MSA subject with it being a generally open category. That has made it difficult to choose just one of the interesting visions all have made. It appears that all of you often do as I do and are out and about with your equipment and see someone, something or a scene that is worth the time and effort to record and share with others. Thank you. I was tempted to print a list of the images and throw a dart to make the selection but I don't have any darts . After looking through all the entries a number times I have elected to pass the baton to MATTKING for his pinhole photograph (#16). I have done pinhole photography and find that since there is no lens or aperture or focus to set, the camera is free to "see" as your eye did without controls other than exposure time. Thank you again for the opportunity to have curated the MSA. Keep posting and sharing what is seen as that's what counts.
