@warden: I hear you on that. This assignment is a winner! All kinds of images from subtle to stark, simple shapes, silhouettes, no grain to grainy. This assignment has it all and we aren't halfway into the month yet!

@Mick Fagan: Thanks Mick. I waited up to nighttime because I was told to come back there by a worker of campus security, a day before the shoot. I was told that the area would be lit up by lights. This wasn't the case. Only three lights inside of the boat house on the left came on. I was expecting a light show, lol. The only bright lights were from the passing cars in the background.
Every May, the college has the Illumination event for the graduates. It is at this event that practically all areas of the college are covered with lighting. This may have been what the security officer was referring to.

Hopefully I can get the film I've shot this month developed in time. With school being in session, I've got a lot less time to run it the 1 hour south to the lab, so I might have to post into the "Old" catagory this month.

If you miss the deadline, there is nothing wrong with posting afterwards - your post just won't be considered when choosing who gets to choose the next theme.

A submission in the blue hour of the month, so to speak. From the old category, and technically three photos taken at Joshua Tree National Park.

Nikon FM2n, AI Nikkor 50mm f/1.8S, Kentmere Pan 400, developed in LegacyPro L110 at 1:31 for 5.5 minutes. Three individual black and white frames shot through Tiffen #25 Red, #58 Green, and #47 Blue filters, respectively, then combined using GIMP to create a trichrome color image.

Hasselblad 501C with 80mm lens. Kodak Gold 200 Pro. Kodak C-41 for 3:15 at 100.4F/38C. Fuji Crystal Archive lustre paper. Arista RA-4 at 80F/26.6C for 2:25 in my old Cibachrome tube and crappy scanner.

#1 New image: 08/27/2024
"Boat Houses before twilight"
Film exposure: 1/2 second at f/16
Print exposure: 6 seconds at f/11 / filter pack 75M + 55Y

#2 New image: 08/27/2024
"Boat Houses at twilight"
Film exposure: 50 seconds at f/11 - I used the 1.3 factor from 20 seconds, 49.1 rounded to 50 seconds
Print exposure: 6 seconds at f/11 / filter pack 75M + 55Y

It has been ages using color film and paper. I thought to use the second roll toward the challenge.

I did forget, yes. Midterm for the class I teach, I didn't even think to come check on the thread!

The submissions this time are pretty great-I am inspired to work a little harder at it myself!

I don't know if I pick a "New" and an "Old", but BAC1967's photo of the Ghost Ship is the one I'd pick as the winner! Let me know if I need to choose new/old/overall.

Thanks Wolfram - and congratulations are due to @BAC1967 .
As that is from the "Old" category, we know that result.
If you wanted to pick something from the "New" category you can, but it isn't necessary.
Over to you Brian / @BAC1967 .
