Hi Folks.
As a first time winner, I am honoured to choose the next MSA.
I've had a think and come up with a few ideas, but one specifically stuck, based on what I have previously liked to photograph (I'm on a bit of a break from that subject matter for a while - time to renew the batteries).
Anyhow, I present to you the July/August 2018 MSA:
"CHROME"
Photograph and display something where Chrome is an obvious highlight (all puns intended) of the photograph - it doesn't need to take up the whole frame, but it needs to be focus of attention.
Now, obviously, it’s going to be hard for me to determine that the chrome image you have taken, is indeed the real deal, so if it’s a chrome look in an application that you would expect to see chrome, then it counts (For example, highly polished aluminium and stainless steel would be OK, but brushed steel finishes, mirrors or water reflections wouldn't fit the brief).
Classic cars and motorcycles are good choices, but a lot of mid century and modern design also feature chrome.
Examples where you might find chrome: Cars and Motorcycles. Household appliances. Building fixtures. Even a simple pen. Look around you and find something that is hard and shiny!
OK, now for the copy and paste bits:
(PS, I hope I have gotten this right

- The normal rules are that all photos need to be taken no earlier than the beginning of the MSA period - July 1, 2018 and on.
- A reminder that we continue to operate this "Assignment" with "analogue" constraints. If you are going to be doing any manipulations, they need to be "APUG" type manipulations - done with either light, camera, darkroom tools or physical manipulations - no digital manipulation.
