Further to a "Conversation" initiated by macfred, as this has been a very busy last two months for a lot of us, I am supportive of the idea of extending the window for this assignment to end of the day on January 5th. Any objections?
Seems fine to me! I made one for this MSA but didn't like it much... as Matt says it's been a busy time. Maybe one more try on Sunday!
Edit: OK here's the one I tried to make so you can see what I had in mind. I built a macro pinhole camera for paper negatives about 6 or 8 months ago, and have tried it 4 or 5 times without any image... I thought it was because my subjects were brown or the exposure was too short, but when I tried it with this miniature nativity scene it didn't work either. I need to take it apart and see what's wrong. I used my instant film pinhole for this one but it would have been better in black and white.... sorry for the crummy scan, it only looks a little better in hand...
I think for me it's 'The little library' by peter k.
The small cabinet with all those books contains more than one story in a single frame. Who knows them all ? The mirror in the right lower corner adds another nice element that is telling his own varying stories ...
Thank you all for your entries !! Peter, now it's up to you to find a theme for the Jan/Feb MSA.
Thanks macfred, and congratulations to peter k.
This was a fairly quiet MSA - for me, and I expect a lot of others, I think the business of the season got in the way of participation. It is unfortunate, because I think the theme was excellent.
macfred and peter k. are discussing an idea about how to proceed with the next MSA - I am supportive of whatever they decide between the options presented.
As Matt stated its been a very quite MSA, so after discussing it with mafred and Matt.. where going to give, all of us, .. another chance with another theme selected by mafred to start our new decade of film fun and follies. Gooooo fer it mafred ....
Congratulations Peter. What a great idea, an outside library. Should make one for my wife to keep her books, so I can have more space for my camera stuff.
