Moved to Coastal Maine

I've found a few analog (apug as well) photogs up here in the Damariscotta, Maine area and was wondering if any others would like to meet up every week or every other week to have coffee and talk shop at a local cafe?

I'm up in Old Town, so Rockland is the furthest south I can travel before the tourists starts me twitching and wanting to shoot someone . Belfast would be even better.

will do, seems like I need 9 more posts before that option is available. well, eight more after this one. I'll monitor this thread. There's always a chance that I'll wander over to Pemaquid Point in the near future, I'll let you know.

If that doesn't solve the problem, the limitation can be manually removed by Sean, the site owner. Just make the request in a post and then Report that post and duplicate the request in that Report. It usually takes a couple of days before Sean can attend to it.
And I think the threshold is 20, not 10.

I lived in Spruce Head on the Clark Island Road for about 8 years, I really liked that area. I'm up in Old Town now.

I was in Belfast for a while. It was very pretty, and the wild black berries were delicious, but when it got to the end of October you could feel that winter would soon be barreling in, so we fled back to San Francisco. You were lucky to get a "yep" or a "nope" from the locals. The woman we were staying with said you had to stay there 5 or 10 years before that changed.

She had moved her entire (small) home to another part of her land and turned it to keep it from facing north. I thought that seemed extreme until she mentioned that her neighbor had done the exact same thing.

One amazing thing that happened was having my girlfriend wake me up at 3AM to come outside and see what she called the Northern Lights. Those lights weren't in the distance, they were swirling around us and all through the air like thin little ghosts! It was the first and only time I've experienced anything like that.

I would like to have a Northern [or Southern] experience.

you're called "year round summer folk" until about 10 years, then you graduate up to "from away"
