Hi, I am new here and I am not for sure if this is where this post goes, so my apologies in advance.
I love photography and art and now I am trying to combine my two loves and take my photographs to a ne level. What I am trying to do is mount a print on a wood panel board, but the board is slightly larger than the print. I am going to paint the edges of the board and a little on the top first. How/ what would I use to adhere the photo.to the board. I thought of 3m mounting adhesive but wouldn't I want to put it on the board first and if so won't the excess show (or would it)? I have read a post about mounting using spray adhesive, but some of the comments scared me.
I saw one video where he used Lineco Ph balanced archival PVA glue. looks like it could be an option.
I want it to be professionally looking and not like something that belongs at a craft show! My goal is to enter some at art shows so I would like them to be works of art and last!
Sorry - I am new at mounting photographs on anything.
thanks for any help!
Karen.
