Motorised SLRs with film leader out capability?

Back in the days Nikon could modify the F90x/N90s for this. You had to send it to Nikon though.
Probably the same as what Jdsanika had with his F100.

The 8008/8s as well if I recall correctly. Didn't need to go to Nikon, authorized service centers could do it as well. I was quoted $20 at a Dallas shop in the 90's, never got around to it.

From Nikon's knowledgebase:

Both my Minolta 7 and 9 are set to leave the leader out. It was just a couple button presses to set it.

Re: Nikon cameras:
Now that I think about it, I seem to remember that the Data Link can be used to program this feature.
Here more info about the Data Link:
(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

The Nikon N90s/F90x could be modified with a custom program to leave the leader out. I had this done on my Nikon N90s at a local (Tucson) camera repair center that was an authorized Nikon repair facility. I suppose any present camera repair center with the proper knowledge could do this today.
