I Have a negative classification entitled "BUAB xxx" (Buildings, Abandoned, #xxx).
At last count there are 696 negative in that group.
I promise that I won't try to post them all here.
But for starters here is...

Barns on Oregon/Nevada 140 east of Adel, Oregon.
The valley is named "Guano Valley" on the Oregon Gazetteer.
Negative #BUAB 188. Scanned negative. 4x5 Tachihara, 135mm Nikkor, O2 filter on 4x5 Kodak PXP.

And on a more charming note...

The Mist General Store (1874-2001) was the oldest continuously operating business in Oregon. A chimney fire one chilly July morning burned a beloved piece of Oregon history to the ground. There wasn't a dry eye in Portland during that mornings newscast. Camera: Mamiya RB67, 180mm lens, YG filter, PXP film (scanned).

From the civilized culture of Mist Oregon, to the stark leftovers of the Nevada Desert...

A windblown utility shack in the Smoke Creek Desert s.w. of Gerlach Nevada. The UP railroad line runs through this area.
# BUAB 096. Tachihara + 90mm S.Angulon lens, 25a filter, on 4x5 Kodak PXP film (scanned)

Great pictures. Graphic pictures of change! Once gone they are gone. Such well done pictures as these will become more valuable as time goes by.
Down the road from my house was an inn dating from early or mid 1700s. This inn was constructed of logs and no larger than a larger sized prefab tool shed from Home Depot, which gives the lie to the Hollywood version of inns at that time. Property sold. New owner wanted parking space. Inn gone. Although I took some quickies, the picture I wanted to take is no more.
Nor does official preservation landmark status provide any guarantee. Give a politician like the current mayor of NYC a nice sum of cash and landmark status evaporates so building disappears. One of my projects for the summer will be the Murray Hill area of Manhattan.
Reinhold, don’t stop capturing these views with your camera.
Keep it up!
