Ok folks,

Without any delay at all we're heading straight into the March and April MSA. The victim  picked to be the host and judge this session is ajmiller for this photo from the November/December 2007 session:

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

ajmiller will be along very soon to announce your next photographic journey, so get your bags packed and keep an eye open for your tour guide...

Take it away ajmiller!!!

cheers eh?

Thanks John.
The topic for the March/ April MSA is "On the Road".

Interpret it however you wish, but the photograph has to feature a road/ highway/track.
So, for example, any building by the road, transport using the road, landscape featuring a road or people next to or on the road etc. - just so long as the road is included.

For any new readers, here's the basic idea of the MSA :

1. Read the MSA assignment
2. Take your photo according to the assignment guidelines
3. You can post your photo in the MSA Gallery : Click Here or,
4. You can host your photo elsewhere and link to it in this thread or,
5. You can post it right in the message here and it will show as a clickable thumbnail.
6. It's all for fun, there are no prizes, but at the end of the MSA, the current host and judge will choose a "Victim" to lead an MSA in a couple of months time.
7. If you have any questions, please email or PM and I'll be happy to help.

thanks all, enjoy and looking forward to seeing some great "Road" pictures.

Tony

Can we add the theme to the thread title?

It's already done Matt - Mr. Goldfarb has been PM'd and we're just waiting

is the deadline the last day in april.

Yes sir. We still have a little more than a month to go for this month's assignment "The Road". It runs through March and April.

We already have a few very nice images from Tony Sipes, Bertus and Uncle Bill. Keep 'em comin'! I've got a few road photos that I've recently shot but I have yet to scan them. I'll try to post by this weekend.

Be safe when you do these, please!

Dear MSA members,
Whe the subject of this month's assigment was announced, my heart sank. I am not a traveler and did not see how I was going to come up with a "Road" photo! Well, after I thought for a while,I was able to find five (5) sites, within a 4 mile radius of my home that I believe qualify! I was so pleased that I decided to enter all of them even though they are not really outstanding photos. I had a lot of fun with this, and even learned a thing or two, and that's what it's all about!

I've been finishing a Uni project for a deadline which was today, so I haven't been able to contribute much, but I just thought I'd say there are some great photographs already entered in this months assignment. It's going to be a tough one to call!
Looking forward to seeing a few more hopefully - may even enter one myself!
thanks

Less Than Two Weeks To Go

Okay folks, we've got less than two weeks to go before the end of our current shooting assignment, "The Road". Personally, I've shot some road shots but still have not scanned them in. I admit, I, like most folks, wait until the last week to submit, but as long as the photos are in before the deadline, it's all good!

Hi folks  !!

I thought I'd stop by to see how the MSA is going and I see that there are some really great shots posted. It's positively heartening to see people out taking advantage of the early nice weather and exposing some film.

cheers eh?

Hi everyone and apologies for been late with this.
It's been hard choosing just one from all the excellent photographs submitted.
It was great to see 'the road' from your part of the world. Thanks!
But, without further ado, the one I've chosen is.....

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)by sly.

I thought this was a great interpretation of the theme, and as I walk forests a lot I also want to know 'what's around the corner. ' Well done sly!

Thanks everyone - over to you sly!

Congratulations go to sly for your excellent image of "Boardwalk, Pacific Rim Park"! (there was a url link here which no longer exists) There were many excellent photos to choose from and thanks to all who participated. Thank you, Tony, for taking the time out to pick a winner.

We'll have a new thread starting shortly for the May/June Monthly Shooting Assignment with Wildbill giving us our new assignment. Stay tuned!
