MPCs Community Darkroom Night
Beginning in June, we will open our doors to film shooters, new and experienced, to check out our darkrooms, our film scanners and fine-art quality inkjet printers.
On the first Tuesday of every month from 7:00pm to 9pm MPC open our darkroom doors and invite anyone who has an interest in film photography to visit.

MPCs Community Darkroom Nightis a chance for film shooters to get together: MPC Members are free!
For just $10 non-members can use the darkroom or film scanners (subject to availability) that evening.
To talk about cameras, film, enlargers, photo chemicals, black and white papers, scanners and what have you.
You can develop some film, make a few prints in the darkroom, or scan a few negatives or slides.
Tours, orientation, snacks, and schmoozing are free.
Darkroom Orientation will be provided by one of our dedicated instructors, Lanny.
Bring your own exposed film and printing paper and we provide the rest.
We provide:
Two darkrooms - one for film developing, one for printing and alternative processes
Darkroom sinks and trays
Reels and canisters - metal or plastic
Chemicals - developer, stop, fixer, hypo-clear
Lights and Safe Lights
Ventilation fan
Drying rack
Enlargers for wet printing
Lenses
Print easel to hold paper flat
Filters
Scanners - Nikon 9000 and Epson V750 - to scan negatives and positives,
from 35mm up to 8x10 in size
Inkjet printers - Epson 7900 and 9900 for use with either matte, luster, or glossy paper
First-time film processors we do ask that before actually using the equipment, you attend one of our Darkroom Classes to receive step-by-step dedicated instruction so you can achieve success. Check our classes calendar for available Darkroom Classes. We also offer one-on-one darkroom instruction, scheduled at your convenience.
If you are developing film, please arrive prior to 8:00 PM to allow enough time for your film to dry.
At Mpls Photo Center, we feel a deep sense of pride in supporting our photographic community.
