This is for a Monochromator filter used in spectroscopy....It is a filter which only allows a small sellected range of visible light through it eliminating all others basically giving the image a B&W appearance........It makes for a nice B&W Viewing filter not allowing different colors to interfear with the image you are trying to visulize
This is a high end scientific filter and has a much narrower range than a regular camera filter.... ...Comes in felt lined box. It has a male 52mm thread on one end...Viewing area is 48mm... I just carried it as a visualiztion filter and did not shoot through it.....This would be fun to take some images with , such as lighting a subject using UV light then photographing it through this filter....Playing with infrared film would also prove very interesting....
