Join A Group of Dedicated Black and White Photographers – The Monalog Collective is a group of passionate fine art and documentary black and white photographers who are dedicated to the art and craft of traditional image making utilizing 19th and 20th century monochrome processes. We would like to expand the Collective to include new members, ages 20s to 30s, to expand the diversity and bring a more youthful perspective to the group. As a Monalog member, you must be committed to analog photography and/or older image-making technology.

We can offer mentoring and advice from photographers who have decades of experience and are happy to share their knowledge. All aspects of our craft are analog based, and we promote our passion through exhibitions, projects and regular meetings to share our experience with each another.

Currently we have 13 members from Washington to Maine, and we welcome potential new members from anywhere in the country. Please see our website: www.monalogcollective.com for more information and to arrange for a portfolio review.

Sounds a lot like age discrimination plus with the age limits a lot of knowledge will never be made available.

Thanks for putting in the effort to add those with newer perspective to your group, and therefore keep the interest in black and white alive and growing.
Whenever the groups I'm involved in add someone significantly younger than our average age, there is great benefit to all of us.

Just had a look at the linked website. More of this there (under age of 35). I agree this is off-putting, in spite of idea itself being a noble one. They should re-write that. There are other ways to invite the younger, without sounding limiting. Probably was not their intent and some sort of "house cleaning" might help the cause. Then again maybe we old farts are just not any helpful.
