For instance if you look at the development chart for Tanol it lists a film rated at 100 ISO next to this is another ISO figure say 65 ISO. Is this for want of another term the chemical EI property of Tanol at the printed & time temperature etc will your negatives rate at 65 ISO due to its compression properties etc. If this is the case does this do away with working at an EI setting in the first place prior to shooting your film,or if you set an EI will this over compress your negative or does Tanol work on the same way as Precysol EF in controlling highlight and midtone seperation.

A film has one and only one ISO-speed. Everything else is EI.
