I've been kicking this around for a while, & thought I'd get the group's opinion. Would there be any advantage, or disadvantage to extending the 2 aluminum tubes/rods that support the drum? My thought is to extend them to the end of the processor, then bend them up to form a "handle" to lift the drum with. This would give extra support to the larger, longer drums when lifting them to empty them.
Presently, I'm using a length of #12 insulated solid electrical wire wrapped around the aluminum tubes with a loop in the end to lift the drums, but this does put some sideways strain on the lift.
Or, would it be better just to put my hands under the drum to support it while lifting it?

There has been several modifications on the new type elevator. You can still order them new, only the price for Jobo spare parts are also "elevated" till 25% since the new Jobo GmbH started last month.

Better support, SS connectors to screw the thing on the processor.

I use my right hand to lift the bottom of heavy drums. It works fine and saved me time and money.
