Make sure you are loading with the emulsion facing in. The MOD54 has a serrated section at the top - make sure the film notch is under this serrated section and you should be okay. I stopped getting undeveloped teeth when I started making sure the emulsion faced inward.

MOD 54 is an APUG partner. Have you contacted them?

Emulsion in solved all of my issues with uneven development as well on a side note, man I hate roll film now!

Aha, I never even bothered thinking about which way the emulsion was facing. Thank you very much for your answer. I will try that!

Always done emulsion side facing the core (meaning the notches point up) and never had development marks around the holders.

In all honesty, i've had less pain developing 4x5 this way then i had 35mm in paterson reels in regards to drag marks!

Forgot to update this thread. Turning the film in the right direction solved my problems. Thank you! =)
