My Epson P-600 is a great printer, and I am quite happy with its performance. To date, I have used it only with Epson papers with great results. Out of curiosity, I purchased a variety pack of Moab papers, and would like to experiment with them. I am doing my editing in Photoshop Elements 2018, on a laptop w/ Windows 8.
I have downloaded the proper color profiles from the Moab web site, but the next steps are not clear to me. They list a "Step 2" on their site, but those instructions do not cover Elements 2018. (I have contacted them on their support site, and await a reply. However, their answers to other's questions seem geared to those w/ more technical savvy.)
My understand is that Epson printers will only list Epson papers in their drop down printing menus, and, that when using papers from other companies, one selects the name of the closest approximation to an Epson paper from a cross reference on their site. Is this a correct interpretation? And, if that is the case, what is the purpose of loading the Moab drivers? If that is not the case, how do I get the Moab papers to show up on the paper types drop down? Any help from those with experience in this area would be appreciated. Thanks
