Has anyone used these? I've been aware of the Metabones version for years, but the price was more than I wanted to pay. I found out about the Mitakon Zhongyi ones the other day and the price is much more favorable. However, I can't seem to find any reviews I trust (most are random YT "influencer" types). I would be using it to adapt Canon FD and FL lenses to M43. Most of my shooting on both systems is in the 24mm to 50mm (or equiv) range and the film lenses, even the wides, are beyond this due to cropping.

I have the mitakon zhongyi lens turbo II for sony E mount and a pixco one for m43. Its been years since I used adapted lenses on both systems. Off the top of my head I can't remember which one, but I had issues with the aperture working on my Minoltas, and I didn't want to modify the lens aperture stop down pin. But basically I only used my Minolta 50mm 1.4 Rokkor PG on it as the aperture fully worked without an issue. I do recall on both Sony E and M43, being able to get quite shallow depth of field.

How was image quality with the adapters? I wasn't aware of Pixco and it looks like that one is about $50 less than the Mitakon. Did you notice any difference between the two?

I don't think the aperture control will be an issue as I will just set the lenses to "manual".

I'll have to try shooting it again its been over 4 years since using it.

But the aperture issue was the adapter interfering with the stop down pin. If I recall, it was either stuck wide open or stuck at a specific aperture, when you adjusted the aperture the lens did nothing. I can't recall which, but it just limited my use to one lens and it might have been only limited to minolta lens. Other lens mounts might not have that issue

Thanks. Hopefully it was a quirk of that specific mount
