Greetings All:
WOW! what a nice bunch of replies and welcomes. It's a real pleasure to find a Site where one finds warmth and friendship at the Door even before they have both feet past the threshold. Well, as I said in my opener, there are many new things to learn and this has always been a thirst I have lived with my entire life. I love to learn and the more Scientific it is, the better. Nothing in life is worth it if you don't have to try, make mistakes and learn along the way. "No Pain, No Gain". And, to answer your question Konical there are a few of us old timers left with the old calls. but even more surprising is the fact that Amateur Radio is growing and growing very fast according to the latest statistics from the FCC licensing division. If I were to change my call all my old buddies would not recognize me save my distinguishable FM Broadcast voice and the accent I have with the keyer on CW. And to Dave; "Gulf 7 Uniform Zebra November" FB OM nice to make your acquaintance. Haven't worked any Engel Terra G's in sometime. Next peak we will give you guys a shot on 6, 10 and 20 Meters and we may even go for a real stretch on Top Band at 1.815 CW. 73's. Again, thanks to all you nice folks. As soon as I get a scanner for MF and muster up the courage I will slip in a B & W post from time-to-time. I especially enjoy shooting the State Capital where I spend a great deal of time waiting for that special shot.
Ciao,
Sil
