Now that the number of my articles on the subject of Minox photography in practice has grown to over 50, I have decided to create a sitemap in form of annotated introductory page. All my Minox-related articles are now linked there and accompanied by brief notes on their content. I admit that this was also necessary because I myself was beginning to lose track. I now recommend this page as an introduction to all my Minox topics.

Important: I pursue Minox photography exclusively as a hobby. So I do not repair Minox commercially, nor do I sell anything.

@tjwspm have you considered using Photrio's 'blogs' feature? No pressure at all; if you prefer to continue to present your work in the form of regular threads, that's perfectly fine, too!

I really like your writing! You're inspiring me to test out my father's old Minox EC!! It's just the cost of film and developing that's always making me hesitant of pulling the trigger!!

To be honest, I'm not sure how to use the blog feature. I registered my homepage there in April last year. Is there anything else I can do?

Do it! I took some of the best Minox pictures with the EC. The lens is top-notch. When there is enough light for f5.6 and you are shooting at medium distances, I think it is better than all other Minox cameras.

If you did that, I would have achieved my most important goal: to get people excited about Minox photography and these ingenious cameras.

The concept is that you upload each blog post that you want to be featured there. It will then (after manual approval) feature in the blog overview and people can comment on it. To be honest, the commenting option isn't really being used. As said, feel free to share your work whichever way you want; it's appreciated either way!

Now I get it: “Add Your Blog Entry” is the button. I just tried it out...

It works! It's now included in the Blogs overview - congrats! Feel free to use this feature anytime you feel it's useful.

Perhaps this should be publicized more widely here. It's a very useful part of photrio that I wasn't aware of at all.

That's a good point and we've discussed it briefly on occasion, and you're certainly correct that were not using this to its full potential as it is. Any ideas on how to better use this feature are highly appreciated!

The blog section is practically invisible in the photrio interface, except for the word “Blogs” at the top. On the homepage, I see the sponsors and, on the left, only Recent Classifieds and Recent Posts.

When you click on “Blogs,” you see links. There is no indication anywhere of what this section is actually for and how to use it. Above all, its usefulness is not clear. That's a pity, because now that I know more about it, I think Blogs is a very good thing. Here in particular, it would be important to highlight the benefits and possibilities of the application, in contrast to forums, where everyone is familiar with its use.

Please do not see this as a criticism, but as a member's user experience.

Thanks for your feedback; I agree with the issues you pointed out and they concur with what we also identified. We've been discussing this in the background and intend to improve this situation as we agree that the Blogs section has potential that we're currently not using. Thanks for sharing your views; it's really appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback. When a blog is posted a corresponding forum thread is created, but it is not known or appearing in the "New Posts" list.

I have updated this so the forum is now visible in the general discussion area:

Also, posts in the forum should show in our "New Posts" list. This will hopefully drive some visibility to your blog entry.

I'll look into making the section more easy to understand, and would also like a 'new' flag to appear on the menu item when a new blog is posted.
