Minox 9x11 Kodachromes

I started slitting my own film for my Minox B last year and after I got my technique down I contacted Dwayne's to see if they could process my 9.2mm strips with their movie film runs. They gave me a fair price and the results where just awesome. I don't have a film scanner but I used a digicam to copy the mounted slides in front of a white page on an lcd screen. The copies hardly do them justice, the sharpness is amzing, the colors are saturated and the grain is nonexistent.
If anyone has a Minox, slit a roll and use it while you have time!

After getting heavily involved in the Minolta 16 sub-miniature cameras, I also started splitting 120 film. It makes 4 perfect strips for that cartridge. Goat Hill Photo apparently carries multiple film choices for various cameras, such as your Minox.

After 40 plus years of fondling cameras, the sub-miniature cameras are by far the funnest cameras I have ever used. I carry either a Minolta 16 MG, or the Minolta 16 II daily, on the belt. I have seriously considered a Minox, but haven't gotten there yet. There are so many makes and models of this class of camera, I had to dive in somewhere. The Mamiya 16 series is another camera I would like to try.

Also, Minolta made a mini slide projector for the 16mm slides. These can be seen on eBay occasionally.

Hey I'm interested in your splitters. I have not shot Minox for a while because the last batch Minopan I got from B&H was fogged quite a bit (quite old I suspect).
I stopped slitting the Minolta 16mm when I found a 100ft rool of HP5+ NEGATIVE Single perf (too bad they don't make it any more, and my roll is starting to fog).
So, I'd be interested in going back to splitting.

Really glad to see they have spunk at Dwayne's. Bless them! I'll bet they put it at the end of the taped-together spool, with a long length of leader between it and the last length of movie film, so that if anything went wrong, nobody else's film got messed up by a jam or film break.

Almost enough to make me consider buying a frozen roll of PKR120 and slitting it down to 828 size. But, first I have two more rolls of Kodachrome 200 to shoot this year before the mailers expire.

I just got into submini with my Kiev-30 - a russian knockoff of the Minolta 16. I've only developed 2 rolls so far but I'm hooked - my shelf is now stocked with 230ft of 16mm Imagelink HQ microfilm, 100ft of Plus-x reversal, and 100ft of Vision T500, thanks to some lucky buys. A slitter is next on my agenda - and I do have a roll of K64 in 120 I could cut down...

Here are some images of the splitter I made from wood. I cut down segments of parquet wood flooring, so there are 2 pieces of wood per slot making for a 15.85 mm slot. The razor blade makes up the other .15mm (just guessing at the numbers). I use several single edge razor blades with the grips removed, and then broken in half. The pictures at the Goat Hill Photo link posted previous helped tremendously. Their's appears to be made from plexiglass, which I'm sure is automatically termite proof. Warning: If you make one of these, and you slide your fingers over the slots, I will not clean up the bloody mess.

Radioiron, I see you've posted the pictures. Not bad, not bad at all. Does that Minox version have a manual focus?
