No. Discontinued means that you can't place an order. If you and/or Mr. Böddecker are prepared to place a modest order then there is a reasonable chance that the order could be filled. Cartridges are in production, the machines are well maintained and Kodak is delivering film. The film has been fully tested and production runs of TMY have occured in the past. 8x11film.com and MINOX GmbH are quite flexible and I have little doubt can and would respond to market demand quicker than you can say !@#.jandc said:Sounds like the definition of discontinued to me.

I honestly don't, however, see a need for TMY (400 T-Max). I've handheld a MINOX A (IIIs) with Minopan 25 (APX-25) indoors and gotten wonderfull results. There is enough latitude in Delta 100 (especially using HRX-2 developer) that I don't really see a benefit from TMY.. and if the conditions are really wild.. like wanting to film (covertly) in a dark and dingy club.. then I'd grab for something more like Delta 3200 or Kodak TMAX P3200. These films, however, are ill-suited to standard MINOX film packaging and are so special purpose that only one-off slitting makes any sense..
One question.. looking at your Web ( http://www.jandcphoto.com/ ). Why is it that you've been out of many MINOX films and developers for months and months? Loads of products that are hardly out of stock and available from many other dealers and distributors...
I hardly know everything there is to know but I know what I know.....jandc said:Once again ed you know everything there is to know.
I'd surely hope so.You even speak English better than I do. Wow!
Complements of Mr. Webster:
Discontinue:
To break the continuity of : cease to operate, administer, use, produce, or take.
Nowhere does it say it can never come back again. It means production has ceased.
Has Wendy's discontinued hamburgers just 'cause they don't make them untill a customer orders one?Nowhere does it say it can never come back again. It means production has ceased.
