I have a Minolta XK and the previous owner had a tripod screw break off in the camera's tripod socket. Does anyone know if there are any other models of Minolta manual focus cameras that share the tripod part with the XK? I want to swap it out if I can, since I could not drill it out.

Damn, that's what I was afraid of. It didn't look removable. I suppose I could always superglue a tripod plate to the bottom.

You can't get a fine tipped rotary tool in there to make a couple of holes or a slot to use a lens spanner or flatblade screwdriver?

Cut a slot in the busted screw and unscrew it

Or use a screw extractor

That's the right way. A bit more crude is the "use a center punch & see if the screw will unscrew.
There's no hitting or beating involved, Put the tool at the edge of the screw & give it a push.
You can also use a straight pin.
Glue a piece off rod or dowel to the screw and back it out. This is hard because most people
use too much glue
