Hey,

A friend of mine has a good working XG2 but the leatherette is somewhat scuffed and worn and she asked me if I knew where to get a new one. Sure, I said, we all know Cameraleatherette.com so I looked there. Unfortunately it's not in the list but the XG1 is and I read somewhere that those camera's are identical except for the metering display inside the viewfinder. Anybody with both bodies who can confirm this?

Thanx in advance

Marketing...

I have had an X-9 which was quite similar to the X-370; I have an XE (Japan only I was told) which is the same as the US version of the XE-7.

Some letter number combos don't "translate well" cross culturally. I have heard that the number 4 is bad luck in Japan. The Chevy Nova had to be renamed for sale is Mexico because it translates as Won't Go in Spanish.

I say check the dimensions of the body at Rokkorfiles or one of those beautiful camera sites. Good luck!
Here's information from Camerapedia:http://www.camerapedia.org/wiki/Minolta_XG_series#Minolta_XG-E.2C_XG_7_.26_XG_2
