I have an old Minolta XG-M 35mm camera received last year from a friend, when I wind the shutter automaticaly release the camera. If I release the winder slowly the curtains get stuck at half a way and I need to push the curtains a bit to close and to be able to wind again. I am looking for help/advice.

It may be the release magnet. Sometimes they are dirty enough they hold the release latch.

I believe it was the XG cameras that had a common fault with the release capacitor. That
was a simple swap of the cap, right under the bottom cover.
