I just received this yesterday. Seals are sticky so I'd like to replace them or have them replaced and have the camera gone over. The camera seems to be in working order but I won't know about seals until I put film through it.
My original thought was to buy the camera and lens and sell the camera and convert the lens to Nikon F mount something I did years ago. The only problem with the conversion was no infinity focus because the mirror would hit the rear of the lens. The spacer I had to sand down was wafer thin and even then I could focus to 20ft which is fine for many subjects. I eventually sold the lens.
I might keep the X700 body after handling it once it was here. I've never owned a Minolta camera other than a couple of TLRs.
Back to the light seals. I have light seal material I can cut, and I've done this with several cameras. But I don't know if the X700 needs a foam bumper for the mirror.
