Hey everyone!
I was trying to find the right forum or place to post an issue I'm having with a Minolta Super A that I recently picked up at a thrift shop.
I'm putting a video below to show what's happening.
Not sure if anyone could help but any kind of help is greatly appreciated!
I think your cocking mechanism is working properly, but I don't think your leaf shutter proper is remaining cocked. This possibly has to do with the shutter being gummed up inside behind the lens. The internal gearing that latches the shutter cocking ring inside the leaf shutter appears to be stuck. The big lever should return as it does, but the shutter (up on the leaf shutter body) should remain cocked until the shutter release is pressed.
Ah! That makes a lot of sense. Hm perhaps I'll have to unscrew some more and tinker a bit inside. I shall update this with what I find.
Appreciate you Kino!
