Hi guys,
Hope you are well!
I currently have a Minolta SRT 100b camera. However, during a maintenance procedure on the upper metal cover, I accidentally damaged it (i just spilled glue everywhere!)...
Anyways, I would like to get a new cover for the same model, but I have no idea where I can find this. Do you have any idea?
Ebay is typically your best bet. You might have to be patient for your particular model and it might be just as cheap to purchase a complete used camera body than just the top cover.
Unsure about prices in Portugal, here is the U.S you can usually find a non working body for little money for a parts camera. Best bet as noted by Kino is Ebay. You can also look for a E.U camera store that carrier used gear and ask if they have non working body.
Along the same lines, keep in mind that the SRT100b is the same camera as the SRT200, SRT100x -- and other models. Tops for those models might be much easier to find -- and the tops from other SRT's would probably work just as well:
Welcome to Photrio. I started with a Minolta SR-7, then moved through the SRT-100, SRT-101, SRT 201, ... you can not go wrong with any of the Minolta line. In 2004 I moved to the Nikon N-75 when my girl friend won a Tamron 28mm to 300mm AF Zoom lens which I still use. Assuming that you have multiple Minolta lenses, I would recommend that you stick with Minolta, although Canon and Nikon cameras would make excellent choices too.
