Has anyone ever ventured to clean the internal prism area on the Minolta XE-7? I am talking about the area between the prism and the Fresnel.
This body has three separate compartments on top: right side, center prism area, and left side. I took off the prism top and saw that there is a multitude of wires that I am afraid of disturbing. And I also looked carefully in the mount area in hopes that this high quality camera would allow the Fresnel to be lowered and cleaned, like in the later Minolta cameras, like the last ones from the X series.
The camera works fine, has one of the smoothest film advances extant, but the excess dust in the prism area I find very annoying. - David Lyga
