I just picked up a minolta Hi-Matic G.
Its a little focus-scale camera similar to an olympus trip.
Its all automatic exposure.

I tried a 1.5V and a 1.3V zinc battery and I havent been able to get the meter working.

Anyone have any tips on getting the meter working?

I had a similar problem with my Hi-Matic G when I first got it, but then I realized that the meter is VERY sensitive to voltage. After adding in a diode it started working again, but before that it wouldn't work with a 1.5v.

Hello;
Check the battery compartment and the wires. Have found that corrosion will travel up the wires and need a replacement. Steven.
