I have a rather 3 rather old NEC 2190UXp which are S-PVA TFT monitors. I calibrate the white point to 100cd/m^2. To check this level with my Minolta Flashmeter VI in spot mode I found when I read the monitor normally I have 9.5EV for ISO100 which is about right. But when I turn the meter 90 degree it only read 8.9 which is significantly lower. I wonder this is the characteristic of the S-PVA screen or it's the meter?
