Minolta Dynax 40 not turning on

Hello all, I need someone's advice. I bought a Minolta Dynax 40 some months ago but sometimes it won't start. When I turn it on I hear some noise in the shutter but the display panel is off. I have to turn it on and off several times to "activate" the display. Any help is welcome. Thanks

Battery contacts must be bright and shinny not satin or dull.
Dirty/tarnished switch contacts, requires some disassembly to clean.

With my Dynax 7 it has to use silver oxide batteries otherwise it suffers from switch on issues, maybe the same with your model.
