Minolta Dimage scan multi pro - freeze scanning

hello everybody my name is Kostas and i am new to this forum

i have a problem with my multi pro that i use on windows 7 computer with Vuescan

while scanning 6*7 negatives scanning or preview freeze at 50-60% and never comes back.
i have to restart the scanner and the computer and after 1-2 scans there it happens again .

do you think its hardware or software problem ?any ideas ? scanner has minor use and i have spare new lamp

I'm new here too. I have used a Multi Pro for years. I've had a similar problem when I try to multisample a 6x7 image at a high resolution. Maybe that's the issue? I'm running the scanner on a Mac, and after the freeze, I have to clear out several files that have become corrupted. I don't know what these files might be on your windows machine. Do you have the KM software user guide? I think it might say what files get created during scanning, and where they are. Best of luck!
