DESCRIPTION: Minolta Autocord Seikosha MX With Rokkor 75/3.5 Taking Lens & Case. Camera serial No.1233933. No lens cap. As shown.
CONDITION: Camera is beautiful and very clean overall and does not seem to have been used much. The covering on two knobs has come off and some edges of covering are beginning to release from time. Taking lens is very nice with no fungus, scratches or haze. Viewing lens is nice too but may have very light haze on the rear element. Camera winds and fies at all speeds and sounds accurate, blades are dry and operate smoothly. Viewing screen has some light soiling. The meter needle is NOT responding to light. Case has some light to average wear.
VERY IMPORTANT READ: The camera was left unused and stored for quite some time. For those that know, these Minolta Autocords have a very common focusing issue. When they have sat unused, the helical focus grease hardens up and makes it impossible to focus the camera with the lever at the bottom. Sometimes people try to hard and break the focus knob off. Luckily, nobody did that with this camera. However The focus lever and helicoil WILL need some service and lube. You are buying this camera knowing this in advance. When you get this camera DO NOT attempt to forcefully focus it You will break the knob off and end up with a much worse problem. There are instructions all over the internet on how to fix the focus on these cameras. Or, you may already have the knowledge. Once done you will have a very nice camera.
