Hi all! I found this metal piece inside when I purchase my minolta autocord cdS which I believe is a battery adapter, Can anyone here identify which battery is this adapter made for?

Welcome to the forum.

As you don't provide any measurements of it , external and internal, it's anyone's guess !

So my guess would be made for a LR44 or SR44 .
Looks like it would hold a single battery.

Another possibility is a 675 hearing aid battery. These are closer in voltage to the original Minolta meter battery (PX625).

If you search for 'PX625 camera replacement' you'll get a lot of info on various options, etc.

The camera light meter didn't respond to SR44 battery with that adapter.

But I have good news. I took out my Yashica Mat 124G battery, which is MR9 adapter + SR43, runs a little shorter, but i place the combo into the minolta autocord CDS iii battery compartment, and stuff the remaining space with tissue to secure it.

Press the battery check button "BC" , the light meter moves!

Atleast now I can confirm the unit I have is a fully functioning one.

I guess I will just get MR-50 adapter. So I can use SR43.

Is this a better idea?
