A second Minolta A7 has died in my hands.
And this one has half a film inside.
Anybody knows how I can retrieve it Or fix the issue?

Does anybody know what is wrong with the camera?
Does the film counter on the top of the camera show anything?
If the cameras dead , a power supply issue is the most likely.
I can see you've got the grip on , most likely with AA's inside . Have you tried it with fresh batteries directly in the camera without the grip ?
I have 3 of these cameras, keeping my fingers crossed...
I have three that are fully working and have another two that when I get chance I will be swapping the backs over to make another fully working one .
As you can probably guess , I like this camera !
Handy to have a spare or two .
The best SLR ever made. I wish the 5 had the same autofocus.
I tried fresh batteries AA and cr.
The combination shortcut gave me the screen saying that the film door is unlocked.
The autofocus calibration on booth is making different sound
Was the CR battery directly in the camera with the grip NOT attached ?
The fact a message came up on the screen does suggest it's not a power issue . ( No power , no message )
In your OP you said the camera died .
Your saying the lens is making a funny noise , which suggests the cameras not dead . Dead things don't make noises !
So are you saying when you switch the camera on , it tries to start up , then just died ?
