I have acquired a Minolta 35 Model II that is in great shape besides the fact that it needs a shutter curtain replacement
I am located in the Chicagoland area any recommendations of individuals or camera shops that offer this service would be
highly appreciated I would love to get this old Minolta up and running again I have a Minolta Model IIb that is such a fun camera to shoot
would love to ad the Model II to the collection .

Oleg at okvintagecamera can probably CLA and replace the curtains on it, but he is in Slovakia, and I am not sure how the tariff nonsense will impact getting your camera back as I got my Contax and Nicca back in August from him.

I am also trying to weigh my options for my Minolta 35 Model IIa too. Mine has good curtains, but is capping at 1/500.

This article I read mentioned Camerawerks in NY.

There were two versions of the Minolta 35 II, and then there was the Minolta 35 IIb -- so it gets a little confusing. You check out MINMAN for details, but it's having some SSL access problems with some BROWSERS today:

Nice to know, but I still get a "SECURITY WARNING" when I just tried it that way. I'm using Firefox v143, but maybe you are using CHROME -- I'm not.

I have replaced the curtains on many a Minolta-35, and it is not all that difficult if you want to try it yourself (note I do not offer camera restoration services myself, I just work on my own stuff)
