I have a Minicam Bulb Flash handle that is missing the reflector. The flash unit was made specifically for the Mamiya Press Super 23 or Universal cameras. I have had no luck in finding out what kind of reflector the handle used. There is no mounting flanges or the like to hold the reflector in place. I am hoping someone is familiar with this unit and can shed some light on it for me.

Thanks Steve. I looked at that but it doesn't show how it attaches. I have seen a picture of a similar unit but it has a receiver that the flash would slip into but it is drilled into the handle and this one shows no screw holes to hold the receiver plate.

I am not really at all familiar with these, however I think there is supposed to be a black collar piece, probably plastic, that sits at the top of the flashgun and the reflector attaches to that. You can see that in part 17 in the system diagram that Steve posted. You have parts 17 and 18.

Parts 19 and 20 in the diagram are brackets that fit between the bracket on the Mamiya body and other relatively common flashguns, probably Heiland and Graflex or something like that. I have one of those that came with a Mamiya Press kit I bought back in the late 1990s. This is the kind of widget that would probably be inexpensive if you could find one, but it's likely that nobody knows what it is.

I think the black collar piece is what I am looking for. I found one on a Graflex flash I have stored away but it is the wrong size. What was surprising though is that there is a 22.5V D Cell battery in the handle. I would think that is a little overkill for a single flash bulb. I have the grip Part No 18 for the handle.
