For many years (20+), I've been happily using a LowePro Mini Trekker (not the updated version and not the all-weather one). It's a backpack. The main camera section has room for a camera or two plus a few lenses. I've even taken an SLR and my P645 plus one or two lenses. There's an outer pocket that holds a decent amount of random things like film, light meter, snacks, filters, etc..

Well, the main zipper doesn't always hold now and I can't use it if I don't trust it. When I bought it, Newtonville Camera said to bring in everything I'd want to put in the bag and see if it would fit. It did (with some room) so I bought it. Now, I don't have a camera store close by.

Does anyone here have a bag they like that's similar? There are both far too many camera bags out there and also not ones just like the one I have. I'll be buying online in all likelihood, so it's tough to see how well something will work (especially since I've gotten really used to the one I have). And I don't know anyone who could replace the zipper either.

Have you looked at the m-trekker BP150?

I'd need to see it in person to see how the top of it really looks in person. The pictures on B&H make it look like the camera and lens section is not the full size of the bag. I should take some pictures of my bag with the "usual stuff" in it.

Yeah, there appears to be a compartment at the top, which is separate from the main camera area. Would depend on the size of your gear.

I'm currently using the LowePro Photo Classic 300, but I use it (slightly modified) for a 4x5 setup.

It might be overkill for you. It's a very thick backpack (7.5" / 19cm), but it wears well for me, and holds a 4x5 camera, 4 lenses a few film holders, and the tripod can be carried on the outside.

I find, with backpacks, that the height is the most telling factor. Your Mini Trekker appears to be 14.6" tall while the Streetwalker bag is 18.5. That's a big difference; if the Mini Trekker fits your needs I suspect you'd find the Streetwalker to large and unwieldy.

If you can still find one in good condition the P3 backpacks by RPT are wonderful. I bought five when he decided to retire and sell off his stock on line and on APUG.

I love mine. That's what I use for my 4x5. I can get the camera, three lenses, plenty of film holders, the usual "stuff" AND the P645n and a lens or two for the P645 or a smaller SLR. It sometimes ends up weighing about 25 pounds, though.

I might. I have a tendency to put in as much as will fit, too, and then it ends up too heavy. I really need to find one to physically see. Or maybe get something accepting that I might need to return it.
