Hey everyone!
My camera journey began at age 10 using digital. I loved photography, filmmaking and writing, but teenage years and life got in the way. It wasn't until 2015 that I found my dad's old Ricoh AF-5. Overly excited, I shot a roll having zero knowledge of film outside of disposable drug-store cameras. Awful results. Once again, years went by and I finally jumped back into it in 2020 and have not fell off since.
I've taken so many photos that I somewhat burned myself out last fall, so now I'm learning to shoot with intention rather than shooting any and everything because I have a camera in my hand! (although it's so tempting!) Although I feel like I've taken some quality photos, I very much so consider myself an amateur. I'm always looking for ways to improve myself and my photos. My biggest goal now with film is to find what I shoot best and to have my own style that I know I'm good at. I want to showcase my home city of Milwaukee for its vibrant and diverse culture.
It's nice to be a member of this forum now to see other people's work and share common interests! I've attached a few of my photos taking this year below! I'm excited to share more as well as receive feedback from fellow amateur and seasoned users!
